Anybody can nominate a teacher for outstanding science teaching. Kids can nominate their teachers; parents can nominate; administrators, etc. by completing the online form below!
The Idaho Science Teachers Association is proud to offer regional awards for outstanding science teachers in both elementary and secondary categories. The award is presented to the winner at the Fall ISTA conference each year. Following the on-line nomination, the building administrator from the school will be contacted by the ISTA regional representative for an additional letter of recommendation.
Winners recieve:
- a plaque for the teacher's classroom
- a $100 stipend from the ISTA-Leroy Lee Memorial scholarship fund to provide funds for the teacher's professional development and/or teaching resources for the classroom.
- free ISTA membership for a year.
- their conference fee is waived.
